aaaaah I'm doing it, I'm gonna post some of my work!

BAM!!

My first time ever posting anything and it's ghostlights, typical. Anyway this was tons of fun to do and I managed to pump this out in like two days. I really hope the smaller details are easy to see bc I had a lot of fun doing things like Dukes heart blush and eyes and Dannys electric scars and it would be a shame if Tumbler crunchifed it too much like Insta usually did.

The prompt I got was Duke is Danny's secret admirer and sharing headphones (that's a lie, it was actually sharing headphones and 1930 but I had no clue how I would do that so I just rerolled and got lucky lol). I might end up doing some more idk I've just never been this inspired before :>

Ok. So. Cocaine Bear was actually hilarious. I hadn't seen any of the promotional material and just knew that I needed to see a movie about the time a bear ate a bunch of cocaine. By all accounts this was actually a good thing because apparently the trailers and ads really hype it up as this amazing movie that's gonna be better than everything. And it's just not. And that's ok.

What it is, is a hilarious comedy slasher where the slasher is a bear zonked out of its mind on cocaine. A lot of the comedy was genuinely funny and they knew exactly what they wanted the movie to be. It's not going to win awards, but it's going to make you laugh a lot and have a good time.

stargate sg1 is so weird cause like. there's definitely definitely a moses allegory going on with teal'c. the goa'uld appropriate a lot of ancient religions, but are mostly egyptian, the jaffa are their slaves who almost certainly built the fucking pyramids, teal'c was the second in command that ran away to lead the rebel army. his weapon is a fucking staff. he might as well be shouting "let my people go."

i just watched an episode where christopher judge's real life brother played a jaffa named A'ron. also in the episode teal'c obliquely references that his son will need to be circumcised (as an adult, it's performed after marriage for some reason, but still). like this isnt just a loose "freeing your people is always about moses" thing anymore it's a clear attempt to depict space jews.

but? i've never seen this discussed anywhere? i can't find any analysis online, or who behind the scenes is responsible for this. I suspect Judge himself had a lot of input here, but i was hoping to read more about it. it just doesn't seem to be a thing people picked up on.
